VWS Series Halogen Alternative
Low Power MR-16 & MR-11 Alternative for recessed downlights
An alternative to the high-heat, power hungry MR-16 and MR-11 Halogen bulbs in ceilings or display cabinets, VWS series lights consume approximately 1/10th the power of the halogens and they have a 10X longer lifetime. Solid Aluminum construction and good thermal design allow cool, long life operation.(40,000 hr+ vs 1500-2500 for halogen bulbs).
VWS bulbs work great in a retrofit and will fit into most existing 3" ceiling can/gimbal light housings. (For retrofit the existing housing needs to be changed to the 2-pin MR16 style and space in ceiling or wall provided for a 24VDC driver/transformer) OR for renovation or new construction use a variety of high quality brushed aluminum housings that are easily mounted iinto a non-inuslated ceiling with spring-clips. (for insulated ceiling a heat box should be used)
